Despite a good order situation, Fendt is suspending tractor production at the Marktoberdorf and Asbach-Bäumenheim sites from Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The reason: The complete closure of production sites of important suppliers in Europe means that components for tractor assembly are missing.

As a precautionary measure, short-time work compensation has been applied for and approved for the tractor production workforce until the end of June 2020. Customer service and spare parts supply will continue to be available for sales partners and therefore also for customers with high priority during the short-time working period.

At the other Fendt sites in Feucht, Waldstetten, Hohenmölsen and Wolfenbüttel, parts supply is still guaranteed for the time being. Production can therefore continue there until further notice. "When we can start tractor production again depends on the availability of parts from our suppliers. As soon as the supply chains are intact again, we will get started," says Christoph Gröblinghoff, Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board.
