RWZ: Agro Rhin takes over Alsatian Fendt dealer

Agro Rhin is expanding its sales and service network in Alsace to include two more locations. Mommenheim and Houssen of the Alsatian Fendt dealer Serma are new additions. Agro Rhin is taking over the majority of Serma's shares at the end of April. Agro Rhin, in turn, is a joint holding company of RWZ Rhein-Main eG (RWZ) and the Swiss cooperative GVS. A total of seven locations in Alsace will then belong to Agro Rhin.

The Fendt, Massey and Valtra brands will be distributed. The Lemken, ERO and Braun brands are also part of the Serma by-product portfolio. In addition, the Serma partner dealers Ostermann, Durrman and Schnell are also supported by Agro Rhin. "With this cooperation, we are strengthening our sales and service expertise for Alsatian winegrowers, farmers and contractors," says Christian Seelmann, Head of the RWZ Agricultural Technology Division and President of Agro Rhin.
Serma is now RWZ's fifth acquisition. "We are now targeting the 100 million turnover mark in France," says Christoph Kempkes, CEO of RWZ.

Serma, founded in 1977 by Charles Jung and later managed by Freddy Jung, is a renowned Fendt dealer in Alsace, which invested in new buildings in Mommenheim in November 2011. Freddy Jung will remain managing director and co-partner. All 18 employees will keep their jobs.
